My blog is my explorations into teaching as inquiry. In this online space I will accumulate, aggregate and create ideas around 'flipping' my teaching and learning and redesigning fun learning spaces for my students. My passions are literacy, visual arts, e-learning and inquiry. Join me on my journey!

Blogging as E-portfolios
In the four years that I have been blogging with students I have always set up the class blog ready for the start of the year. I would love to set it up individual student's blogs. First we will look at a variety of class blogs and analyse which blogs work well. The students will learn the processes for establishing a blog so that they can create their own blog. I aim for the blog to become the students e-portfoilos, which hopefully they will continue next year. Choosing an e-portfolios platform has been part of my thinking for about 3 years now! I have played around with Google Apps and now that blogger is linked I feel that this would be an avenue worth exploring. There will be 'can dos' and 'must dos' for the students - I think there is a need for common features amongst the students' blogs to aid navigation for students, parents, whanau & teachers e.g. labels.
